Sometimes Dreams Are Better Off Not Real !

Months have passed since we became close friends.
Every day I find I'm thinking of you,
Though no word from you that message sends.
And yet we share all other thoughts and feelings.
I cannot wait to tell you of my day,
And you give me the gist of all your dealings,
Which makes me hope we walk in the same way. Telling you this is opening a door.
That never can be closed again, and yet
I must, because I ache for something more,
Something that I must risk all to get.
I laughed at people still in love
Who trusted someone's word;
To make their happiness depend
On faith seemed quite absurd.
I lay alone and wonder-struck,
Sleepless in my bed,
Still numb, still dumb, still ice, ice cold,
Not knowing I was dead.
Sometimes dreams are better off not real.
Old yearnings drain away through open gates.
Regretfully I tell you how I feel,
Yet with wounds that time will have to heal.
Sometimes dreams are better off not real.
to realize that I have a lot of to do.
for my future.. for my parents.. for my education.
that want me to be a successful women without any pain in love.

Be Thankful

( My dear fellow students in teaching class,
we celebrate our success in getting 101 students in our CEP program, 2nd term. :') awesome ! )

I was proud of myself as I decided to be a professional teacher.
Why ? After you read this poem, you will understand that the teacher makes your life meaningful.
Because the teacher plants seeds of knowledge that grow forever :') that's what I mean.

"What Teachers Make"
by Taylor Mali

He says the problem with teachers is
What’s a kid going to learn
from someone who decided his best option in life
was to become a teacher?

He reminds the other dinner guests that it’s true
what they say about teachers:
Those who can, do; those who can’t, teach.
I decide to bite my tongue instead of his
and resist the temptation to remind the dinner guests
that it’s also true what they say about lawyers.
Because we’re eating, after all, and this is polite conversation.

I mean, you’re a teacher, Taylor.
Be honest. What do you make?

And I wish he hadn’t done that— asked me to be honest—
because, you see, I have this policy about honesty and ass-
kicking:
if you ask for it, then I have to let you have it.
You want to know what I make?
I make kids work harder than they ever thought they could.
I can make a C+ feel like a Congressional Medal of Honor
and an A-
feel like a slap in the face.
How dare you waste my time
with anything less than your very best.

I make kids sit through 40 minutes of study hall
in absolute silence. No, you may not work in groups.
No, you may not ask a question.
Why won’t I let you go to the bathroom?
Because you’re bored.
And you don’t really have to go to the bathroom, do you?

I make parents tremble in fear when I call home:
Hi. This is Mr. Mali. I hope I haven’t called at a bad time,
I just wanted to talk to you about something your son said today.
To the biggest bully in the grade, he said,
“Leave the kid alone. I still cry sometimes, don’t you?
It’s no big deal.”
And that was noblest act of courage I have ever seen.

I make parents see their children for who they are
and what they can be.

You want to know what I make? I make kids wonder,
I make them question.
I make them criticize.
I make them apologize and mean it.
I make them write.
I make them read, read, read.
I make them spell definitely beautiful, definitely beautiful, definitely beautiful
over and over and over again until they will never misspell
either one of those words again.
I make them show all their work in math
and hide it on their final drafts in English.
I make them understand that if you’ve got this,
then you follow this,
and if someone ever tries to judge you
by what you make, you give them this.

Here, let me break it down for you, so you know what I say is true:
Teachers make a goddamn difference! Now what about you?

dialogue of a man and a tree

The Man: Why do you grow so tall, way up there in the sky?

The Tree: I love the heights that are clean and free, where the lonely eagles fly, where the crane and the hawk can nest with me, and my friends, the geese, go by.

The Man: What do you use for food, tree to make you grow and grow?

The Tree: I live on a diet of Nature's best from my roots deep down below; I never go hungry, I rest and rest and wait for the rain and the snow.

The Man: How do you grow so strong, Tree, sturdy and straight and true?

The Tree: I live in the light of the sunshine and yarn for the sky's deep blue; the clean, sweet air is always mine, and the cold winds help me too.

The Man: How do you live so long, Tree, so much longer than man?

The Tree: I've geared my days with the Creator's ways since ever the world began. There is no death when life keeps faith with nature's wonderful plan.--

*) I've learned from the tree :') so thankful my life.

Midnight in 2013

sometimes
as my sickness worsens each day
I want someone to love and take care of me
yet, I don't want them to know the depth of my pain

so, I go home alone
and cry myself to sleep in loneliness
because I am unable to live long and sturdy
still, I don't want anyone seeing me like ‘this'

but sometimes my lonely heart longs
for someone special to care
dying isn't something we want to do alone
yet pride keeps us from having anyone there

I searched for a ‘healthy' love
because love is what people need
recklessly, I reached elsewhere to find
the love I ever seek

in my ignorance and hurry
to find my inner peace
I desperately saw in another
what people needed to see in me...

....health, and hope, and life
instead of sickness and decline
I found in another
my wish came true, to hide my dying

my only wish is that someone would love and care for me
instead of this loneliness of dying alone.

Surat Cinta Untuk Gaza

Bom-bom diluncurkan sekutu...   Surga berubah darah rawa.

Gaza kami… Suasana tenang nan nyaman dahulu... Berubah letusan milyaran peluru... Jalan-jalan dipenuhi pijakan syahdu...
Dirusak tank-tank berhati batu...

Oh Gaza kita… Nyawa sungguh tak ada harga...   Tangan, kaki, kepala terputus dari raga...   Darah menggenang bak dermaga ... Sungguh jadi syuhada penuhi surga
Teriakan sang ibu penuh takut... Tangisan sang balita tak punya salah... Seolah tak didengar telinga penakut Israel iblis laknat berhati sampah.

Oh Gaza mana… Ini hari sudah ke dua puluh satu Nyawa telah hilang hingga beribu Teriakan luka.... sungguh memaku Air mata mengalir dari mata syahdu
hey... Ini bukan perang sekedar perang Fitnah... sungguh, benar bukan Hati siapa tak dibuat gerang Israel berselimut yahudi badan.
Oh Gaza... Darahmu kelak lautan impian...   Tangisan anak menjadi suara merdu...   Teriakan ibu zikir untuk tuhan Surga Allah pasti telah menunggu...

Duhai Gaza Palestina… Kutulis surat cinta penuh nyeri Tangan ini lemah menggores tinta...   Hanya ini yang dapat kuberi...
Berjuta kali do’a selalu ku pinta hanya untuk sejenak bangkitkan asa... duhai... Gazaku...

Kata

Dream Chaser

There's a fade light that waiting in the end of the road
But I'm sure.. it's a bright and shine that waiting for someone to take it away
Some tired of this game because they don't find the way
But I just keep running
Because I believe there is something
for those who want to strugle

There are a lot of noises that make me dizzy
There are a lot of eyes stare at me
There are a lot of hands that pull me back
They hate me to keep doing this
But I still stand and keep running
Because there is something that I believe in

I wanna wake up ! get up ! stand up !
and doing something for my dream
Because life isn't about waiting
Life is about doing something
I want to reach that light with my way
So, I become believer
and I become dream chaser

Incurable Disease

Something serious happened to me
I can't breath and I have a heart attack
my heart thumps like something bursts in there
I can't handle it

I always have headache
when I start thinking about that
I really hate it
because I can't stop doing that

This love is like drugs to me
because I'm already addicted to you
I'm so sick because of you
can you heal me ??

Liar !!!

I say "YES" and you say "NO"
I say "BYE" and you say "HELLO"
you are a professional lie
and you make me fly
that's why the birds can't sing
and why the sky isn't smiling
because you are a liar
who can't stop to feel desire
hey you !!
give me something new
or let me fly like a bird
because I am your girl !

The sorrow of the bird

I am still waiting
hope everything is a daydreaming
I can't hold on to the tears
they just make scars in my heart
his smile..
his smell..
his shadow..
disappears !!!
why is it coming to me ?!
I can't stand to make a fake smile
Let him go to make inquiries
it's alike letting the birds fly in the sky
too sad..
I am the bird that haven't a wing

That Crazy Woman is Me

All the world is a stage, including my love story
I remember, when his eyes twinkled like starts
and the moon seemed to smile at me
as if I was courting him
in fact, I was smoldering for days
after I expressed my love
my anger like a flame of fire
ouch ! am I burned up !!
his fake smile just added fuel to the fire
so, it makes my thoughts tangled like a traffic jam
and missing him like I have a small house
it's really lonely
and memories with him is like a dream within the dream
because memory is a crazy woman who loves men who had left
and that crazy women is me

STRAWBERRY

So delicious as a beauty
She poses so fine and vicious
a tenderness in her caress
a beauty that consumes lovely and sexy
excite..
such as want to have her
forever
in my memory of you
lean back again
let me love you
let the sun beat on my forgetfulness
just to taste your sensasion

Just You

the first time, I met you
like the butterflies flying around the flower
just you..
joked during the day and shared everything until the sun peek through the clouds
made me so close with her world
made me know the words of the world
just you..
give me another story in my life
with the love and the pain
just you..
bring me into the rainbow of the dream
with the jealosy and the annoyance
just you..

The Way I AM

These are the questions that run through my mind, Your way into my heart, you did find.
should I keep my feelings inside, Keep them locked up, or let them hide?
I just don’t know what to do anymore, My heart it aches, my heart it’s sore.
The love that makes me drunk and destroyed, then pain, and torture in the cramped space and quiet.
Why are you scatter plot romance until I stumbled and fell in love with folded arms ?
Because only you, The one that I look up to. The one that I run to. The one that I talk to.
And because you’ve turned into a mossy stone, stone sculpture that no matter who, savage stone statue,
Then, I was silent, lonely, without a whisper, liver disappeared, love lost, missed disappeared,
and let kill all the sense in the dark.

Analyze the poem “I, Too” by Langston Hughes

I, Too

I, too, sing America.
I am the darker brother.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong.
Tomorrow,
I’ll be at the table
When company comes.
Nobody’ll dare
Say to me,
“Eat in the kitchen,”
Then.
Besides,
They’ll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed–
I, too, am America.
I discovered this poem on a website and found it to be very interesting. As the author, Langston Hughes is African-Amiercan, it seems as if the literal meaning of the poem fits. I enjoy the storyline of the poem in its entirety and find it to be very intriging. I like how the poem contrasts and in a way gives two different points of the story. I can visualize the speaker metaphors.
In this poem Langston Hughes criticizes the lifestyle and face of American people in the 1930s when I search in google. The poem is centred on a black african struggle to become equal in home american. By using the title “ I, too”  the writer is trying to explain what makes up America. He means that everyone in America is an American. No matter the color of their skin, or their religion, etc.
In the beginning of the poem, when the speaker says that “I am the darker brother,” it basically just means that the speaker is different than the rest of the characters that he is referring to. He may be a African American but he is still an American. The poem continues and the speaker talks about how they send him to the kitchen to eat, it shows the racial discrimination among society. However, as the poem progresses, the speaker shows the gradual change in society’s outlook and treatment of people who are not of the same color. But when the speaker says “but I laugh, and eat well, and grow strong”, it means the isolation has a positive effect on him because he becomes stronger even though he pains in that condition, he will not let kill his spirit.
And when the speaker talks about how no one will dare tell him to eat in the kitchen and talks about how beautiful he is, it shows the uprising and growing of society as a whole. And it is symbolic of  how everyone is beautiful, no matter what race or ethnicity they are.
The speaker gives a perfect closure to an excellent poem, “I, too, am America,” it means, In America, there is supposed to be no racial discrimination and freedom amongst everyone. I mean, The speakers try to give the message of the poem is black Africans have equal rights too, like every white person in the world.
I enjoy reading this poem because it’s very deep and says a mouthful and it shows that the people should to have the same freedom in the world. I mean, God created the human for one goal, everybody has the same authority. So, I am thankful to life today where I don’t have to feel the black African condition. :)
